Green tea. This little drink seems to help everything these days, including bad breath! Green tea contains antioxidants called polyphenols, which, according to a recent study, can destroy bad bacteria in your mouth. It doesn’t stop there: a cup of green tea can also help combat tooth decay and even prevent mouth cancer.
Fresh herbs and spices. In addition to giving more flavor to any dish incorporating herbs into your diet can have a great improvement on your mouth health. Herbs like mint and parsley contain strong oils that keep bad breath under control.
Yogurt. A little probiotic bacteria is not a bad thing – that’s the good kind! Studies have shown that eating yogurt with this strain of bacteria daily can reduce the build-up of odorous bacteria, such as hydrogen sulfide. Additionally, eating yogurt was shown to drastically reduce plaque and the risk of gingivitis.
