Dr. James M. Phelan,D.M.D., M.A.G.D is a Master AGD, an honor bestowed upon approximately three percent of all dentists. He is a member of Continuum V of the Pankey Institute, a premier program in dental education. Dr. Phelan is a 1983 graduate of Tufts School of Dental Medicine, and a 1983 Pierre Fauchaud Academy Award Winner. He also completed a one year post graduate “clearkship” at Tuft University School of Dental Medicine in 1984. He is a past president of the Southeastern District Mass Dental Society and currently the ethics committee chairperson. He has achieved five levels at the L.D. Pankey Institute.
Currently Dr. Phelan is Cont. Ed. Coordinator for the Mass. Academy of General Dentistry and a past president Mass AGD. Personally, Dr. Phelan resides in Rhode Island, because of his love for the ocean. His wife Debra helps in the practice a few days per week. He is the father of two boys, who enjoy skiing, la crosse, soccer and fishing. South Attleboro has been a wonderful community to work in. Dr. Phelan looks forward to the future here and is grateful for his excellent staff. In addition, he has a great interest in continuing his education for the betterment of the practice.
